Feature marine grade aluminum and stainless steel construction with a marine epoxy finish, direct drive radial piston hydraulic motor, level winder with guard, a drive coupling grease system and end plate covers. In addition, Super Spools II feature heavy duty core and end plate reinforcing, heavy duty shaft bearing and come complete with line setter control manifold, all to produce the finest mid-water longlining spool available. These reels are designed to provide years of trouble-free service under the toughest work load and weather conditions. Super Spool now available in a tandem arrangement to provide storage space for up to 100 nautical miles of main line for larger vessels.
Designed to pull monofilament longlines from the spool at a rate greater than or equal to the vessel speed, as desired. This allows the line to be set with a predictable sag between floats so that baits can be fished throughout the water column. Line setter speed is controlled by adjusting the line setter speed control. An optional digital speed readout display is available to ensure accurate and repeatable line setting. Using the chart provided with the LS Series Line Setter, maximum hook depth can be calculated and is dependent on vessel speed, line setter speed, distance between floats, gangion length and buoy drop length. Line setters also reduce the tendency for mainline to backlash and allows for deeper, more efficient fishing with shorter gangions, thus reducing monofilament costs. The LS Series Line Setters feature axial piston hydraulic motors with stainless steel shafts, epoxy finished marine grade aluminum construction, replaceable drive elements, automatic main spool control, and adjustable speed control. Hydraulic requirements are 12 gpm @ 1200 psi.
Constructed of marine grade aluminum finished with epoxy and feature changeable spools. Leader carts are an ideal choice for storing longer leaders and buoy drops in a tangle free manner. Dimensions approximately 40" long x 24" wide x 42" high.
