AFTCO Taper-Tip Aluminum Gaffs

Feature marine grade aluminum handles and stainless steel hooks for superior corrosion resistance. Tapered handles are swaged to build extra thickness into the walls where outside diameters are small, but formed correspondingly thinner where the outside diameters are large. Thus the gaffs are uniformly strong from end to end, eliminating unnecessary weight.

Gaff handles are anodized a rich gold for lasting beauty and resistance  to corrosion and fitted with soft but rugged black grips molded from non-slip material. Black vinyl butt caps seal out corrosive moisture and prevent deck scarring.

AFTCO Taper-Tip Flying Gaffs

Feature slim tapered tips that slice through water faster and with greater accuracy to minimize the problems of gaffing powerful fish. Like regular Taper-Tip Gaffs the shafts are swaged to build in uniform strength from end to end to eliminate unnecessary weight. The hook sits in a tough plastic insert fitted into the tip and is held in place by a length of 20lb. line tied to a steel post on the shaft. A machined aluminum gimbal at the butt of the shaft secures the attachment rope and with the plastic insert in the tip prevents water from entering the shaft. Handles are fitted with non-slip grips and feature the same gold anodized finish as other Taper-Tip Gaffs. The barbed hooks are corrosion resistant stainless steel and the triangular points allow better hook penetration and are easy to sharpen. Hooks are available with a choice of 5", 6", 8", & 10" throat sizes, all using the same handle.
